Let's say one had another SMA remaining but decided they didn't want to use it
for version 7 so decided to save it for JAWS version 8.
I'm quite certain you would find that when you got to version 8 that the
skipped SMA you had saved from version 7 would no longer be available to you as
a free upgrade.
With FS you have to buy into each and every upgrade so that means you will have
to pay for them sooner or later as long as you continue to be a JAWS user.

I don't think it would be accurate however if you renew your sma and you were
down to your final upgrade.
