Re: Your first screen reader!

I used an external speech synthesizer called Speaqualizer 2.2. I used it on a computer running DOS. If anyone knows who manufactured this synthesizer and if there are upgrades I will love to buy one for my use at home.

Hello all,

Without getting off topic regarding Jaws, I'd be interested to know what
your first memories of screen readers are. Mine begin with Jaws 3.2 on an
old Gateway PC back in 1997. Good oal Doubletalk PC couldn't even handle the 
Romance languages for heaven's sake!
