In addition to whatever lists others may know about, I thought I should mention that MS maintains a news server with many groups relating to Windows XP. The name of the server is msnews.microsoft.com and the groups names all begin with microsoft.public.windowsxp (the english versions; MS actually seems to have all of its groups duplicated for a wide variety of languages).
