Well, if you want to hear it at work, or somewhere you don't have that nice 
stereo like when I'm on vacation and want to hear something on a rainy day, 
but instead I'll just bring the receiver with me when I go away and plug 
computer speakers in to it or plug it in to the line in on my computer.  At 
home, my computer and my stereo both sound great so either one is just as 
good for me though I use the stereo for that. If I had an office job and 
could listen to XM radio on the computer there though, I'd pay the extra $4 
or what ever it is most definitely.
