No, too much hassle, unless you have hardware synthesizers lying about and know how to load their drivers before the DOS session.
When I have used DOS from windows, as I recall you read with the JAWS cursor, then enter on the command line? Yes??? No???
That's what I do. I also do an insert+s to set screen echo to all so I can immediately hear the response to my commands, then use the JAWS cursor for review purposes.
DOS is not dead, it just smells funny.
