Hi Ann,

Remember JAWS for DOS? My student is working with some DOS programs and windows XP. Will JAWS11 be enough DOS?

Yes, definitely.
Would it help for him to
load the old JAWS for DOS?

No, too much hassle, unless you have hardware synthesizers lying about and know how to load their drivers before the DOS session.

When I have used DOS from windows, as I recall you read with the JAWS cursor, then enter on the command line? Yes??? No???

That's what I do. I also do an insert+s to set screen echo to all so I can immediately hear the response to my commands, then use the JAWS cursor for review purposes.

DOS is not dead, it just smells funny.

Tom
