Hi,
I figured it out. I had full screen checked under the view menu. Unchecked
that option and I can now read the list of suggestions.
Duplicated problem by checking full screen, testing, and then unchecking
full screen. That was it. All is well now.
Thanks for your help.
Have a great day.
Bill

Hi,
Have more data.
INSERT+F7 does read the misspelled word. Still cannot read the suggestions.
When I tab down to the list of suggestions it reads a line from the
document.
Cannot get Jaws to scroll through the list of suggestions.
Thanks for your help.

Subject: Word 2003, not reading the misspelled word any more
Hi all,
In Word 2003 with Jaws 7.0 my F7 key no longer tells me the misspelled word.
Has been working fine for a few months now, and something happened today.
Not sure if I changed a setting in Word by mistake to block the view of the
misspelled word? It finds a misspelled word, but it does not tell me the
word it finds misspelled. Jaws is quiet when focused on the misspelled word.
I can tab down to the list of suggestions, but Jaws does not read those
either as I arrow through my choices. When I first tab to the list of
suggestions Jaws seems to read a sentence from the document?
Is there anything I can check to restore the reading of the misspelled word?
Thanks for your help.
Bill
