I had this problem on both my laptop and desktop after I reformatted them.
it was always running in my processes, and I could shut it off, but as soon
as I rebooted, it began again. I didn't have this problem with MSN
Messenger, so I finally did some research and found a little tool that
completely uninstalled Windows Messenger. It worked great.

Good morning folks.

On my laptops, I continue to see Windows Messenger running, even though I
have gone into MSConfig and unchecked the applications that launch it at
startup. If anyone has a fix for this, I'd love to see that application
disappear. I have no trouble getting rid of it with my desktops, my
computers all running XP pro with Jaws 7x.

Thanks to anyone who has the key.

Jerry
