I'm really suffering with the issue of JAWS telling me I'm still in the
previous window I was in. It lets me move around the new window and do
everything but it says the previous windows title. Can be quite confusing, and
annoying when you ALT tab to the wrong open window.

Hi all, what do you all think of the performance with the latest JAWS 9 build?
I found it to be pretty sluggish compared to build 552, however as I've
upgraded to Home Premium SP1 last weekend I'm curious if performance has
improved in some way. Thanks in advance.

I'm using the ltatest build of 9 on Vista Home Premium SP1.

I'm sure you have seen the other issue mentioned here regarding moving up and
down the folder lists. Is that something scripting could be used on?

I think Live Mail is great, but especially as I'm using hotmail. It's a shame
there are those two issues with it.

  Thanks

  Peter

What version of Jaws are you using, Peter? Perhaps I can look at this and
fix it with scripting.

  Thanks,

Actually ignore this tip! It works better for editing messages, but not so
well for reading them. In fact it wouldn't read the message at all.

Would I be right in thinking though that if you did turn the vurtual cursor
off, and then changed it to only show messages in rich text rather than HTML,
it should then read them right? Any comments from anybody welcome.

Hi, just thought I'd have a play with Live Mail and the settings to see
about trying to fix the couple of issues that exist.

It's not much, but I found that going in to JAWS configuration manager for
Live Mail and unchecking the option to use virtual cursor, means you don't have
to go in to forms mode when you want to type a message.

Hope that is of help to some of you.

    Peter
