I have found the oposite. For me win 7 boots up a lot faster than my xp OS did.
Also, I found that the programs open faster, jaws doesn't freezes that much any
more (although when it does I can't seem to shutdown the prosses as fast as I
did on XP) I also found that the whole experience with win 7 is much better
than xp. One thing though, did you deleted the windows.old file on your hard
drive? I found that after I deleted it it my computer became speedy
Gonzales. lol! Also, one more thing, On my old XP OS I had my maian hard drive
about 65% full. I had my music, videos, podcast, and documents on my machine
and it wwill stop into a crawl. Now with win 7 I have the same media, almost
the same programs and it doesn't stall. It works faster in general compared to
XP.
Just my homble opinion,

Yadiel

Hi,
Was just curious if any of you Windows 7 users have noticed any differences in
speed of the operating system compared to Windows XP.
I am using a p4 3.2 GHz and 4 GB RAM and to me Windows 7 is a little slower
than XP when booting. Haven't used it for that long, but we'll see how I like
it.
