Same here, I agree.I usually have very few problems as well. Most of my setings remain in default and use as little scripting from third parties as possible. regards chrissy ----- Original Message ----- From: Bissett, Tom To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, April 28, 2009 4:23 PM Subject: RE: Window Eyes; was Go to Meeting? I myself have few problems with jaws. mostly I just work with the defaults except for voice, rate, tone that sort of thing and do not experience nearly the problems that others do. Most of the problems we see on this list are from people inadvertently changing a program setting or having trouble locating a particular jaws setting. Then there are those who continue to tailor jaws until it no longer works. Between the number of settings in jaws and the number of settings in any given software package it is imposible to catch everything. As we see on this list there are so many makes, models, versions, configurations that it would be imposible to cover everything even if that test team were made of a hundred people. The screenreader companies face a daunting task trying to make the screenreader work with as much of the software out there as they can especially when so many companies don't want to make the effert to make their products accessable. I agree that jaws could tighten things up some but for the most part they do a reasonable job of things.
