What are you doing to compact your folders in outlook express? This might be helpful

There is a way that you can compact all your folders and save some disk space. Go to local folders and close all the folders. Use the file menu to go to folders then you should hear compact and press enter. This way all your folders are compacted and it doesn't take a lot of time. I hope that this helps you. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Gilland" <clgilland07@xxxxxxxxx>

Subject: Why can I not Compact folders

ok, this is weird. Every now and then, I get the following dialog when I close Outlook distress, o oops, did I say that... I meant, Express. sorry. anyway, seriously: here's the msg.

To free up disk space, Outlook Express can compact messages. This may take up to a few minutes.

When I hit ok, though I know what this msg means, can someone explain why on both! my computers, I get the following message after hitting ok?

The folder is currently in use by Outlook Express or by another application.

Um, no, it, ain't, thank you?

I closed the son of a gun. I'm really perplexed. Any reason why this would be happening?

Chris.
