My advice would be to forget about wmp for ripping or encoding. CDEX which is free and can be downloaded from www.jfwlite.com
or, Goldwave which has a great trial version at www.goldwave.com
Nero is also excellent.

All these programs work great with jaws.

How are you changing a Wav file to MP3 using JAWS?
I looked at using Windows Media Player, but could not figure out how to do it?
Any ideas would be appreciated.
I am using Windows XP home, JFW 6.2 on a Pentium 4 computer.
