In the in box do a alt + v and errow down to auto preview and you will hear
it say auto preview checked this means it is on so hit enter and it will go
off. To check do another alt + v and errow down to you hear auto preview. It
will not say checked when it is off.

And, can someone tell me how to turn off autopreview?
My jaws won't stop crashing and the admin folks can't update me until

Annoying, but jaws was supposed to have that bug fixed as of version 7.1
