Hi Dana,

I'm sure we'll find the right explanation. In the meantime, why don't you access your volume control using the following:

Windows + R

Type sndvol32

Hit Enter to open the Volume Control for any setting purposes.

That's how I do it everyday instead of playing Hide and Seek with the speaker icon. I have to go now. Good luck!
