I doubt that very much. I've done a lot of research on this and it's simply
not true. You will only see part of the 4th gig of memory due to hardware
mapping out memory in this range for things like video and so on.

Oh, I know somebody with 4GB and it works fine! Vista tells him he has 4GB.
Didn't Rick once say he had 4GB but not sure what version of Vista he's using!

This is in fact true. All 32 bit operating systems will handle up to 3 gb of
ram. This is a limitation of the 32 bit implementation. The 64 bit operating
systems do not have this issue.
