Re: Vista and Jaws

What version of JFW were you trying previously? And, also, FS is slowly but surely working on improving performance with Vista, as demonstrated in their podcast regarding JAWS 9.0. Although personally, I won't touch Vista if I can avoid it... that's primarily a choice consciously made by me, rather than one limited by performance. After spending 8 months taking calls about 95% of current (meaning not purchased within the last 6 months) hardware not working with it, I just decided I couldn't be bothered.

Has this gotten better? My experience has been that vista and Jaws together is slow. super slow. I was told it may be the sound card, driver, and a few updates which micro soft has recently applied to xp, and vista, but which seemed to effect vista even without Jaws, and for sure with Jaws.
Only one system is worth buying in my opinion that still offers xp pro. That is the Dell XPS 410 desktop. This is the last solid system Dell offers with xp pro, and of course, if I knew Jaws 8 somehow has gotten better with vista, I'd not feel so boxed in when considering a new system. 

Can anyone here give me any idea of their experience with vista and Jaws?
