Vista Alt & Control keys stick

I read a thread a while ago where the alt key was sticking with Remote Desktop.

Well, on my vista OS laptop from Acer, the Alt and Control keys stick 
frequently. Sometimes pushing both the Alt or control keys solves the problem, 
sometimes not.

Anybody else had this problem and, if so, how did you cure it?
