There's a way to have 2 video cards active at the same time but there's really not much reason to do it and I'd have no clue how it would act with jaws. I would think not well, but having not tried it I can't say for sure. If you stick a video card in a computer though, the preference of the computer will switch to that added video card, how ever, the memory the onboard one takes away form the system will still be allocated to that video card, you have to go in the bios usually to do that, if that's why the question in the first place is to get the memory back, you'd need to go in the bios for t hat usually. ----- Original Message ----- From: "dave_d0619" <dave_d0619@xxxxxxxxxxx>

The way I understand it, as soon as you install a PCI video card in additionto the on-board video card, the PCI video card takes precedence over the on-board video card, unless you specify the on-board video card.In other words, you cannot have two video cards active at the same time. Itis a lovely case of "either or". The one in thiscomputerI'm using now is an ATI radian 7000 and I got it on clearance for about$10and I can't for the life of me find 1 single complaint on the thing. Ithinkthese days just about anything will work though based on computers I've built and fixed for others that I ran jaws on while I was doing it Ihaven'tseen many if any problems in a very long time. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim" <jimscave@xxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, July 18, 2008 2:08 AM Subject: Video cards with Jaws > Heya folks, Can anyone here tell me what are the best video cards to > use with Jaws 8 and 9?
