i used to have to Do it, that way
until i, installed the scripts,
the only thing i would add to doing it that way,
once you have down arrowed to the list of songs
route pc to jaws
and now, you can down arrow thru the entire list of songs in the list
whether there are 50 or, 500
anyway, the only thing I would add to doing it that way,

Hi Carlos,
When I go into my WinMX program, I have to use the JAWS cursor for almost
everything. So I route JAWS to PC by pressing the insert key with the minus
key on the num pad. Then I make sure I am at the top of the page by pressing
ctrl with home.
Now, using JAWS cursor, arrow down a couple of lines until the line reads
Networks, shared files, chat, search, hotlist, transfers, Bandwidth.
Using the jaws keys insert+4 or 6 on the num pad, the next and previous word
function, go to search. Left click on it with the num pad slash, the second
key from the left on the top row of the numpad. This opens a new page and
puts your pc cursor in the edit field. Hit the pc cursor. This is where you
type what you are looking for. You don't need to use the forms field here,
just type.
Now, route jaws to pc cursor again, and using next word, insert+numpad6, you
will go through download button, manually resume...button, and then you'll
be on the search button. Left click this one with the numpad slash.
Page down, still in jaws cursor mode. You will be at the bottom of the page.
It will tell you something like "waiting for results". When it comes up with
results, that message will change to 1 result, 11 results, however many it
finds. If it finds a lot, the number keeps up going up. If you search for
something big and general like, say, Beatles, the numbers will just keep
going up, and it can be a little tricky to home in one specific song for
downloading purposes. So the whole thing is easier if you are more specific.
Still in jaws cursor mode, you can arrow the page to read the results. The
program shows something like 18 results on the first page. It gives you the
name of the song as the user has it on their computer, so the name of the
song came first, but more often the singer, or instrumentalist will come
first. Then it usually says mp3. Then there will be a number telling you how
many megabites are in the song. This can be important because a regular
radio length song averages 3 to 6 MB. When they get longer, you start
getting a lot of long-play or megamix stuff.
Following a bunch of numbers, you will hear the partial address of the
person with the music, if there is only one person. But if the piece with
its exact length and written title is common enough, it may just say 2 users
or 5 users, or whatever. After that, in the case of a single user, it tells
you the speed of their connection... DSL, cable, unknown, etc. Finally, it
tells you if they have any slots open for downloading or if there is a cue
to download that piece and how many people are in the cue.
If you pick one to download, just hit the numpad star, the third button from
the right on the top row of the num pad, which is the right mouse button.
This brings up a menu, and you are on the download option. Hit enter, and
you and your song are now in the Transfers page.
Again, in jaws mode, I go to the bottom of the page and arrow up. It tells
me the status of any uploads happening from my computer. Anyway, if there
are no uploads, the fourth line up should tell you the status of your
download. Arrow up once more and you can read across the song. You will have
the name, the number of users involved in the download, the numbers of bytes
downloaded, the number left to download, and the status of the download. It
may say waiting for connection, or remotely cued and give you a number for
how far back in line you are. If the download starts right away, this are
will keep you up on the percentage downloaded.
One more thing. With the Jaws cursor focused on a song in the transfers
menu, you can hit the right mouse button. This opens a menu which gives you
some options such as clear, delete file, find more sources, etc.
