Using sapi 5 voices is problematic with JFW7, 6,5, and it has been that way for
some time with FS. Some machines work ok with the sapi 5 versions of ms
voices, but not others from ScanSoft or At&t, or, to a lesser degree, the
Cepstral, ones which do work somewhat. Now, don't attempt to use the 3.4
version
of the Cepstral voices with any screen reader because they will lock up when
you start and stop the voices from reading quickly. Cepstral says they will
release a corrected version in November, but I am not holding my breath, since
sapi5 support in JFW is token at best, by many users' experiences, and all
machines I've attempted to use JFW and sapi 5 voices on.
