Hey John, I think this is what the technical support notice does because you download the file, Sapi5x.zip. Hope this helps and saves you some time, smile! ----- Original Message ----- From: "john coley" <johncoley@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, May 28, 2006 7:51 PM Subject: Re: Using Neo Speech engine with Jaws Hi Michael, yes you can use your neospeech voices with jaws. They will appear in the list of voices when you change your jaws synthesizer to sapi5. You may notice though that the voices don't sound happy, they may sound lispy and/or crackly. This is because Jaws needs to know the frequency of the voices. To do this you need to get the cls id number for each of the voices, which involves going into the registry, and then pasting that number into your sapi5.ini file, which will be in your jaws folder. If you'd like I can send you step by step instructions how to do it, but if you're not happy editing the registry you may need further help doing it. If you want the instructions let me know offlist. John. ----- Original Message ----- From: Michael G. It has both the male and female voices. is there any way to get these to work with Jaws? I found the folder that contained the Neo Speech files but I'm not really sure how to get Jaws to use these. .
