Using JAWS 5.01 with Windows messenger

Hi listers.
I'm using the most recent version of Windows messenger. When I'm in the message 
window, there are times when JAWS no longer reads the bottom line of the window.
I'm not sure why this happens since there are no other windows on top of the 
message window.
What can I do?
