Mark,
Thanks for reminding me how to turn the sleep mode off. I've done it before
but forgot how to get there. Again, thanks for the help.

Why not just go to the default configuration with your insert6
  2. control "O" to open the lists of configs
  3. arrow to the games configuration
  4. hit enter to open it\
  5. do your changes and save.

  Subject: Turning sleep mode off

  Hi friends,
I turned the sleep mode on ( checked it ) and put jaws into sleep mode (
checked it ) in one of the games I was playing and now I want to undo what I
have done, but there is nothing on the screen for a sighted person to help me
to see what I want to do. How do I get to the list of games through jaws to
turn the sleep mode off and the sympathizer back on. Here are the steps I used
to turn of jaws while playing the game and doing the steps backwards doesn't
work. Thanks for any help.

To put Jaws in sleep mode when playing games

  1. Open the game you want to apply the sleep mode to
  2. Press insert plus the #6 ( This will bring up the configuration manager )
Listen closely and you should hear the name of the game. It might be an
abbreviated version of the game. Make sure that you don't hear the word default
  configuration manager
  3. Press enter when you hear the name of the game ( remember it might be
abbreviated or sound some what different than the actual name of the game )
  4. Press alt plus the letter S ( This will bring up settings )
  5. Press the letter A ( This will bring up the advanced options )
  6. Make sure sleep mode is enabled ( This means that it should be checked )
  7. tab down to turn off speech synthesizer and make sure it's checked, ( This
will be right below the sleep mode option )
  8. Tab down to OK and hit the space bar
  9. Press control plus the letter S ( This will save the settings
  10. Press alt and the F4 key and you are done
