Most interesting. I got my first JAWS software in 1994 and my number is in the 4900 range. I can not remember what version of JAWS I started with. I have kept the same serial number all along. Basicly, if I figure it out right, it's based on how many users currently have JFW. so, if your serial number is, say, 4105 (just a ballpark number, here), then you were the 4105th user to buy JFW. Just mentioning that because this is the same serial number I've had since version 2.0.
