Hi, I was having server problems with gmail and had to delete the contents of
my inbox. I lost the message that gave the steps for starting JAWS as a
service. Could someone please repost? Thanks.

  Hi,

I have been following this thread with great interest and it seems that
the advantage of starting JAWS as a service instead of an application is that
JAWS loads sooner and, therefore, you get more information while booting up
your computer and you also get more information reported by JAWS when shutting
down your computer. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Furthermore, is it correct that starting JAWS automatically accomplishes
the same thing as replacing the path in the Desktop shortcut for JAWS and, if
so, does JAWS have to be running from the System Tray as well to accomplish
this?

Thanks in advance for enlightening me,

      Don

    Hi all,

I didn't read this thread from the beginning but wish to know:
What is the plus to use Jaws as a service and not as an application?

    Thanks

Is there a way to have JFW come up as a service initially?
