Re: The recent j12 update has broken my computer!

Thanks for the repair info, I will try and keep that for future reference! 
Have got the computer working again - it was a w7 error which seems to have 
been caused by a 'critical update' which it did after the jaws installation - 
unrelated, just coincidental - which I didn't know about.
