Re: Tentative Release Date for JAWS 9.0 Public Beta 1
Since this is a totally new version of Jaws, the beta will have to be downloaded and installed separately. I think the check for updates feature of Jaws only applies for updates to that particular version.

Can you download the beta by checking for updates in JAWS or do you have to do a fresh download?

Hi All,
According to Eric Damery, JAWS for Windows 9.0 Public Beta 1 will be posted during Monday, October 1, and I assume the What's New will also be posted on that date. 

As an aside, there is already some JAWS 9.0 documentation available at
http://www.freedomscientific.com/fs_support/doc_screenreaders.asp
