I have to agree with you.
We just purchased a new disk of XP Home because my wife's E Machine had
become big time corrupted.
Tiger Direct still has a nice collection of various types of computers
available with XP Home.
Remember, it is *your* money and you should be able to get what *you* want.
Nanopac in Tulsa can get you a computer with XP.
Now, as for Window 7, I have seen s3everal emails from folks who are using
the Beta version with less problems than vista.
I am seriously contemplating installing 7 on my desktop.

Have you never heard of all the downgrade options. Anybody not buying a pc
online should be laughed out of the store! Very few people in these stores
have any ideas about what they are selling, but there prices are usually
high! The only reason to go to a store is to check a keyboard on a laptop
or similar importnat design choices on a computer.

However Windows 7 if you can wait for it seems to be what we all hoped
Vista could have been when it was released. I have had Windows 7 64 bit on
one of my computers, and the only serious problem is that JAWs 64 bit
version will not install, it can however be installed on other 7 64 bit
machines, so I hope for the 7 RC that is to be released later this year.
So how do I use 7, with narrator and NVDA that can be installed without
problems.
