Hi Gerald,
You can still buy a new Fujitsu laptop with XP. These laptops are quite resource loaded. Of course 64 bit systems are very close to being the prevailing standard. I hope that Windows 7 will answer our concerns with Vista's short comings, because some companies do not like Vista.

You can insist all you want, but unfortunately, it is almost impossible to find anything but 64-bit machines anywhere these days, which means you're stuck with Vista. You might be able to find XP on some budget netbooks, but not on higher-priced laptop and desktop models. IF you ask for an XP-equipped model,you'll probably be laughed out of the store.

When you purchase your new computer just tell them that you want a video
card with the tuner on it. This will also give you TV out from your
computer.
I would also insist that the computer come with XP home with service pack 3. 
Windows 7 is on the threshold and I would wait for it.
Vista is to XP what Millennium was to 98, a complete joke.

I'm getting ready to purchase a new computer and want to get a TV tuner card 
with it.  I've seen some that come with belt in ones. I know the new
computer
will have Windows Vista Home Premium and will be running JAWS 10. Are there 
any cards that will work or are there any to stay away from?  Any advice
