I use TSO via terminal emulation software which re-maps the keyboard, so some
keys do not operate as they do in the PC environment. The software I use has a
keyboard mapping function which allows you to designate PC keys as IBM 3270
terminal keys, some of which do not have PC equivalents, for example, Reset,
Clear and Attention keys.
I would ask what type of terminal your software is emulating and find out the
key mappings.
As for Cut/Paste capability, that is more a function of the emulation software
than TSO and doesn't work particularly well for me, as I only seem to be able
to select one character at a time, so tend not to use it very much.
I use the Attachmate Extra emulator which doesn't have a particularly happy
marriage with Jaws but your Humming Bird app may fair better.
Cheers
Chris

Subject: TSO and JAWS
Hi,
I'm trying to use TSO, which is a part of a mainframe session in GGCC (which
is a Hummingbird application, I think). I can't cut and paste using JAWS,
because it doesn't seem to want to recognize what I'm trying to highlight.
Beyond that, I can't move to the top or bottom of the screen (which should
take you to the Command line) with Home and End.
I'm not sure if all of this is because JAWS is interfering, or because
there's some trick about working in a mainframe environment that I don't
know. Either way, if anyone has any advice, please let me know.
Thanks,
Lora
