Strange JAWS 9 problem...just started

When I'm in a list, like my list of email messages, or the address book, 
JAWS has started to only read the first item in the list.  When I arrow to 
other items, it doesn't say anything.  I can read it with the PC cursor on 
the number pad.  But, the only way I can get it to say the items as I arrow 
to them is to restart the computer.  Any idea what's happening?
