Hi Karl,
I have the same problem and haven't been able to come up with a solution
either.
Cheers,
Russell

Subject: Speech dying in Excel
Hello Folks,
I waited to post this message until I had installed JAWS 5.0.812 hoping the
problem I am having would go away. It hasn't.
What has been happening is that when in an Excel spreadsheet JAWS stops
speaking. It works for a while and then when I arrow to a new cell it is
silent. I can usually alt tab away from Excel and then back again and
speech comes back. Sometimes I can press the alt key and open and close
the menus and speech comes back. This is really driving me nuts. Does
anyone out there have any suggestions. BTW, the spreadsheets I am using
are not large as they are new ones for 2004 and have maybe 30 rows and 6
columns.
Thanks, Karl
