Space marker and paragraph marker message in Word

Hi Listers , while reading down a Word document JFW is speaking Space marker 
and paragraph marker. So I went into  the Jaws verbosity dialog box, thinking I 
could uncheck this function but it was not there! Can any of you tell me how to 
shut off this message? I'm using Jaws 6.0 with Win XP  home . Thanks upfront
