I think some one wrote into the list and said that JAWS beta 10 seems to mute
your speakers. I don't know if this is what is happening to you or not.
God Bless,
Wren
p.s. I was also talking to another user of JAWS beta 10 and the speakers got
muted also.

I've seen this happen when a crash has occurred, but I know that's little
help. I don't think it's sound that's gone, I think everything is gone when
that happens.

Subject: Sound goes away
I have narrator loading at startup on a Windows XP system I just installed,
and I get sound from Windows on startup, and Narrator comes up talking. After
saying "Foreground Win", Narrator goes silent.
No wave sounds play even though none of the mute buttons are checked in
Volume control, and all sound drivers are installed.
I can't install speech until I get this fixed. Any suggestions would be
appreciated.
Thanks,
Dennis Brown
