Sound card question

Hello,
I am new to the list and so excuse me if this is a boring and much-covered issue. I have purchased a Soundblaster type of internal sound card for my desktop computer. The computer is a Dell and its onboard card is a Realtek High Definition Audio. I want to route Jaws so that it comes through that card and all other sound stays with the new Soundblaster. I have tried a couple of suggestions and they didn't work. I know there's a way to do it because I've seen it in a neighbor's computer, but they don't remember how it's done. I looked at their JFW.ini file and I see no reference to it, but that's where they say the modification must go. Could someone advise me, please?
