Open "my computer" on your desktop. Arrow down to your hard drive so 
that it is in focus. Jaws might say "local disk C." Now hold down the 
alt key and hit enter. Hold down the Jaws key and hit B as in bravo to 
read the active window. Jaws should tell you how much is used and how 
much is free.
