No actually I'm not able to read/or hear if there is a little notification that 
says "When you close the lid of your laptop your computer will shutdown."
Although I also have times when my computer has randomly shut down, it's about 
1/1000th of the amount of times my computer has shut-down without my knowledge.
the other 999 times is when I close the lid and open it again and everything 
has shut down.
Hope this clears up some stuff...

Brandon,

I hear you concerning not being able to hear what the problem is when you try 
to shut the laptop down.

I do wish JAWS could stay up until the final blow that way we would actually 
know what the problem might be.

Hello,

I'm not sure what's going on:

About 1 out of every 5 times I close my laptop it shuts down. I'm not sure if 
windows is installing an update or what, but it gets super super annoying, 
especially when I have 5 or 6 programs up at once and I need to restart them 
all.

And because I'm in school I have to close my lap-top at least 5 times a day.

This has always happened and I'm not sure how to fix it. 

I changed the option to hibernate when the lid gets shut rather than go to 
sleep, but that only decreased the shutting down from 1 every 3 times to 1 
every 5 times and increased the time I need to wait for my computer to start up.

I'm not sure if there is something that says it will shut down when I close my 
lid or what?

Any help would be really appreciated!
