Another question, iv?e got that ctol+alt+j for a prior version of jaws. How
do I go about removing that old short cut so I can update it to the new jfw
12? I think it was jfw 7 or 8. I just never got around to doing it before
and since I saw this thread?

I'll save this message for when I upgrade to Windows 7. thanks for your
clarity.

One change I'd make in your XP instructions. Several of us experienced
problems keeping the shortcut by tabbing to apply. It turns out that if you
simply press enter after typing the shortcut (in this case j), it is saved.

Hello there;

1, desktop;

2, press the letter "j" until you hear jaws,

3, alt+enter=properties  shortcut page;

4, now tab until you hear;

shortcut key none,

here you would type your alt+ctrl+j

now depending on which operating system your using,

if xp, just tab apply, press enter, now, tab around just to make sure the
keystroke is their.

if your using vista or windows7, after you type alt+ctrl+j,

press enter,

now the User account control will come on, you need to continue/yes and your
shortcut should be created.

hope this helps.
