Grant, you are partially right, we have a choice but if you know you want
to uninstall, why bother with having to choose by using the install
maintainance box?

David:

You do not click Uninstall JAWS. This was in previous versions of JAWS.
Now you click Installation Maintenance.

Hi,

press the windows key to get to the start menu, press p for programs, press
j for jaws and assuming you have only one version of jaws installed, you
will be taken to the tools submenu of the jaws submenu, if you have more
than one version of jaws installed, you will have to choose the version of
jaws you want to uninstall by pressing j till you hear the correct version.
Once you are in the tools menu which you may need to press right arrow to
get to if you have more than one version of jaws installed, up arrow will
eventually take you to uninstall jaws. Pressing enter on that will begin
the uninstall process by telling you that the install shield is loading.
You will eventually be presented with a dialog asking if you want to remove
shared components. If you have more than one version of jaws on your system
and wish to use the remaining version(s) of jaws down arrow to the no radio
button to leave shared components. press enter or tab to ok and press enter
or space and jaws will be uninstalled.
