Thanks. The Windows Pro notebook is doing that just fine. I can see it
clearly with Windows 98. I cannot though see the Windows 98 machine with the
XP Pro notebook. Well not exactly, I can see it I just cannot access it from
the Windows Pro laptop.

I cannot help feel that we are hitting all around this thing like tapping
about with a wireless cane!

This is clearly not a Jaws issue so I will withdraw the subject from this
list but would remain very grateful to any advice off list particularly from
someone who actually has a wireless network working and accessing resources
on other machines.

Under network check enable file and printer sharing then apply then ok.
then the system will want to restart.  Once you're up again highlight the
folder or drive you want to share hit alt enter go to the sharing tab and
select the share as radio button.  Type nothing for user and something for
password.  Be aware that windows 98 caches the password until you shutdown
your computer.
