Use shift+F8 to open a multi-select combo box; arrow through, and use spacebar
to select items.

I am trying to select multiple items that are not contiguous in a list with
IE 6. I am using Jaws 7.1.
I received the following, but it does not seem to work for me. Am I doing
something wrong or are the instructions incorrect?

In the Select Multiple Categories popup window, use the
arrow keys to go to the correct category and hold down the
Control key. While still holding down on the Control key,
use the arrow keys to navigate to the next category.
Release the Control key and press Shift+Spacebar to select
the next category. Hold down the Control key again to move
to a third category.
