Couldn't they just practice their typing? This seems an extreme solution to
someone typing carelessly. Maybe I'm not understanding why such a radical
solution is necessary. If so, sorry.

I was hoping to avoid a long-winded explanation as to why I need to
change the Select All command. But, here goes!

I am teaching someone to use Word and duxbury.

When they save a document that already has been named, with <CTRL+S>,
somehow or other they seem to catch their finger between the <a> and
the <s> keys. As a result, the text in the document in which they
have been working gets deleted and the blank file overwrites the
existing file on the disk.

The result is, the text in the file gets replaced by a file that is
blank.

The person I am teaching is sighted and therefore does not use JAWS.
That is the other reason why I need to make the change in windows
rather that in the JAWS Keyboard manager.

Sincerely:

Dave Durber
