Hi.
Outlook express comes with Windows 98 and above up to XP. Vista comes with
Windows Mail which is an improved and more stable email client, while
Windows 7 comes with nothing. For operatings XP and above, you can download
Windows Live Mail, part of the Windows Live essentials package offered by
Microsoft which includes among other things Messenger.
All the best, Ibrahim.

I think you can only get OE if you have XP, but I could be wrong. But I'm
not certain they sell it separately.

I've just learned that the best way to do what I want to do is to use the
export option in the files section of OE. Unfortunately, when I try to
do this I get an error message, so it seems that my copy of the
application is corrupted. I've been trying for the last hour to download
OE without any success, constantly getting links which claim to be for
downloads but are actually a lot of come-ons. Can some kind web
jockyprovide me with a direct download link to OE 6 or 7? I would be
most grateful to you.
sincerely,
William L. Houts

Subject: Seeking Accessible Email Backup Utility
Hi,
Tonight, I will be replacing my creaking XP machine with a new Dell and
need to know of an accesible easy-as-pie utility which will allow me to
save my Outlook Express folders and mail and reconstitute the whole
passle on my new machine, with the least amount of fuss and bother. Is
there such an animal? And is it free?
