RE: Scanning A Picture and Sending It Using JAWS or Openbook

You could save the file to your hard drive, and then send it as an
attachment in an email message. TIFF files are kind of big though so your
email provider may not transmit it for you. Experiment and see.

Okay, then how do you send the scanned picture? Randy

Open Book can scan image files of PCX or TIF formats. Under the setting
menu select Scanning options. In the Scanning options dialog, change
scanning mode to image only, and change the image format to the one you
want. Close the dialog and perform the scan as usual.

I'm not sure whether Open Book can scan pictures or not, but if you can
figure out how to use it, the software that came with your scanner is
probably good for pictures. That's how I scan pictures and send them.

I was wondering if anybody could help me with this. I'm trying to scann a
picture using openbook and then I want to send it to my sighted friend. Is
there a way to do this or not? Thank you. Randy Campbell
