RE: SP2 for XP has serious bugs

There have been quite a few messages regarding problems with service
pack 2 for Windows XP Home and XP Pro. Some of the problems are
conflicts between JFW 5.1 and this service pack,
Fs has stated on there web sight that they have tested all version of
jaws from 4.5 and up and have found no problems relating to this servus
pack!

but there are some serious bugs in this service pack which have nothing
to do with JFW.

One of the bugs in SP 2 will be seen when you attempt to access an
Internet page which requires a secure connection, (such as pay-pal,
banking, and on-line ordering). You won't get a proper page-load. What
you'll get is a blank page.
This is do to the xp fire wall interduced in servus pack 2 symply turn
it off and sp 2 will return to normal use.
I heard a computer tech-support guy on a radio show say that you should
un-install SP 2, because it is seriously flawed. Once again, it looks
like Microsoft is using it's customers as beta-testers to find the bugs
in their software.
I have at this time sevarl cliants using xp with sp2 with no problems
most of them say that it makes there system faster how ever most people
I have spoaken to have disabled there fire wall on xp and have used
there own fire wall system. As for ms using the consummers as beta
testers bugs always come up with new software when lots of people use
it. For example I created a few months ago some gold wave scripts.
When they got installed on a few computers problems arose witch resolted
in me changing some things. I still to this day have been unable to
reproduce thoughs problems with the old code but it fixed the issues
reported. Remember there were people out there advicing people not to
update to windows 95 then they told you to stay away from 98 and me was
the worce version of windows ever and xp was not for home users and so
on this is just more of the same. This means that xp sp2 is not the be
all and end all and yes there have been problems with it for example I
had one client install sp2 and he did not follow the instructions and he
crashed his system. This was his own fault for not doing what I his
tech told him to do and the windows setup program. Just my take on this
miss information.
