Hi,
My name is Nuzhah and I am a PhD student with the Information Retrieval
Group at Queen Mary University of London. My PhD research project is on
"Complex Information Seeking Tasks by Visually Impaired Users" and is
being supervised by Dr. Tassos Tombros and Dr. Tony Stockman.
We are carrying out a research study to investigate how visually
impaired users carry out information seeking tasks on the Web via
web-based search systems. We are particularly interested in the
challenges they face while using search interfaces with the help of
assistive technology such as screen readers.
We are looking for people to participate in this study. To make this as
convenient for you as possible, we are very happy to travel to your
work, or wherever is most convenient for you.
If you would like to take part for an hour or so, please get in touch
and let me know when you would be able to participate. If you do take
part, we may video record what is on the computer screen as you use it,
we will not be videoing yourself. All records will of course be stored
in anonymised form.
Apologies for any cross posting.
Regards,
Nuzhah
