For the present I have found something that works. After you reach the list of
options or research-it items, each time you arrow up or down, press insert up
arrow to read the item of focus. This changes as it should when you arrow up
or down but won't reade where you are unless you press insert up arrow first.
I don't know why, and I surmise that FS doesn't either at this time. In the
meantime, hope this will work for you.
