Actually, not exactly. The function worked until people started complaining about the "Are you sure you want to overwrite the clipboard..." dialog that is generated by the FS Clipboard when the From: field contents was copied to the clipboard during the process. So FS used GetWindowText to save the contents of that field to a string variable instead. Evidently, that either gets too much, or not enough, data from the field, so isn't reliable as the CopyToClipboard method. So replacing the Jaws 9.0 ReplyToSender with the Jaws 8.0 version fixes the problem of reliability, but not the overwrite confirmation dialog.

Do you mean the problem is something as simple as that FS accidentally left the script that runs this function out of subsequentreleases and updates, and that's why it doesn't work as it is supposed to? And you can fix it by doing this? If it's so simple, and so many people havereported it, why doesn't FS just fix it? This is a little confusing to hear. Thanks.----- Original Message ----- From: "George Marshall" <marshall.geoma4@xxxxxxxxx>To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, May 26, 2008 8:04 AM Subject: Re: Reply To Sender Hi All: On this list and other lists instructions were posted several months ago:that you could copy the "replyToSender" from your JAWS 8 and post it to your JAWS 9. The script and instructions are on the "Jaws users" home page underscripts. HTH, George R. Sorry to say. It was a nice convenience while it lasted. Atleast I know how to copy a sender's address from an email into the To header field when I begin a reply I want to be off list. But that's a lot moretrouble than the Reply Directly to Sender function was for a few months, acouple of releases ago or so. Sigh.----- Original Message ----- From: "Dave Mitchell" <mitch@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: "jfw list" <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, May 25, 2008 1:19 PM Subject: Reply To Sender Hi, Have you checked the Shift-Insert-R triplet to invoke the Reply To Sender function in the newest JAWS? I have and it still does not work for me .
