I thought there was a registry setting somewhere you can change to get the
repair button to show up in the add/remove programs list.

To repair Jaws 7.1, you have to run the installation program that you downloaded from Freedom Scientific again. When you run the install program again, you will get options for modify, repair or remove. Click on the repair button to begin a repair of Jaws. You may be asked to restart your computer after the repair is complete.
