Oh! You're saying FS had to switch to the actual Microsoft (TM) installer,
not just their own fully-MS-compliant installer. So, this is yet another

The repair function was part of the installer. If FS switches to a third-party installer as they've done, that third-party designer may not, in this case did not, include such a feature as FS did.
